SUMMARY:WATCH PARTY - Formula 1 Japanese Gran Prix 2024
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon packed with adrenaline with F1 Japanese Gran Prix 2024.\nAbout Formula 1.\nFormula 1® racing began in 1950 and is the world’s most prestigious motor racing competition\, as well as the world’s most popular annual sporting series: The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ runs from March to December and spans 21 races in 21 countries across four continents. \nAbout Japanese Gran Prix\nHistorically\, Japan Gran Prix has been one of the last races of the season\, and as such the Japanese Grand Prix has been the venue for many title-deciding races\, with 13 World Drivers’ Champions being crowned over the 36 World Championship Japanese Grands Prix that have been hosted. Japan was the only Asian nation to host a Formula One race (including the Pacific Grand Prix) until Malaysia joined the calendar in 1999. The first two Formula One Japanese Grands Prix in 1976 and 1977 were held at the Fuji Speedway\, before Japan was taken off the calendar. It returned in 1987 at Suzuka\, which hosted the Grand Prix exclusively for 20 years and gained a reputation as one of the most challenging Formula One circuits. In 1994 and 1995\, Japan also hosted the Pacific Grand Prix at the TI Circuit\, making Japan one of only nine countries to host more than one Grand Prix in the same season (the others being Austria\, Bahrain\, France\, Germany\, Great Britain\, Italy\, Spain and the USA). In 2007 the Grand Prix moved back to the newly redesigned Fuji Speedway. After a second race at Fuji in 2008\, the race returned to Suzuka in 2009\, as part of an alternating agreement between the owners of Fuji Speedway and Suzuka Circuit\, perennial rivals Toyota and Honda. However\, in July 2009\, Toyota announced it would not host the race at Fuji Speedway in 2010 and beyond due to a downturn in the global economy\, and so the Japanese Grand Prix was held at Suzuka instead. Suzuka has hosted the Japanese Grand Prix every year since 2009\, apart from in 2020 and 2021 when the Grands Prix were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. \n \nAbout the Circuit.\nThe Honda-owned race course at Suzuka (鈴鹿国際レーシングコース) has emerged as one of the world’s most demanding and rewarding motor racing circuits\, packing a mix of almost every type of corner into a remarkably small space. Drivers rate it highly\, mainly because it is one of the few circuits these days that still has challenges to throw at them. It has also gained world recognition because of its unusual figure-of-eight layout\, which has spawned countless Scalextric imitations! \nVarious safety upgrades over the years have seen corners eased to add run-off and the addition of the chicane onto the start-finish straight\, however\, there’s no disguising that this remains an ‘old school’ circuit and true test of driver and rider. \nAside from the Formula One Grand Prix\, major events today include the Suzuka 10 Hours endurance race for GT cars and the Suzuka 8 Hours\, which remains one of the most important events for motorcycle manufacturers and is an important cornerstone of the FIM Endurance World Championship. \n  \n\nWhat’s the circuit like?\n\nSuzuka is a driver’s track. It requires precision in the first sector. Then bravery on brakes for the Degner curves. Balance and control through Spoon\, and commitment at 130R. Finally\, you top it off with a test of skill through the Casio triangle. Add to that its unique figure eight layout and Suzuka’s history as F1’s most frequent winner-take-all Championship decider and you get one of motor racing’s most beloved venues. Suzuka is also a place where you can pass\, you can pass in the esses\, the Degner 2\, the hairpin\, the first part of Spoon\, on the straight leading up to 130R\, you can pass at the Casio Triangle\, and even through Turn 1. In F1 lore\, Suzuka has always been the “Final Boss” as well as the arena where decisive scores are settled. \n\nFees:\nMembers: FREE (Included in membership)\nNon-Member: Single Day Pass: $30 CAD (allows full access to the event and duration for the day) \n

SUMMARY:WATCH PARTY – IMSA Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Cadillac 2024
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon packed with adrenaline with IMSA (The International Motor Sports Association) Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Cadillac 2024.\n.\nAbout IMSA \nThe IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship features two styles of cars – Prototype\, which showcases the latest automotive technology and are uniquely designed for the racetrack\, and GT\, which is based on road-going production models. These two styles of cars make up the series’ five classes – Grand Touring Prototype (GTP)\, Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2)\, Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3)\, GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and GT Daytona (GTD).\n\nTo help fans follow the on-track action\, the WeatherTech Championship uses a Leader Light System. It allows fans to easily identify the position of each car in its respective class. The position of the car is displayed on an LED panel mounted on the side of the car and the color of the LED number corresponds with the class. For instance\, an illuminated LED red number 5 on a GTD PRO style car means that car is in 5th position in the GTD PRO class. \n. \n\nGrand Touring Prototype (GTP)\nThe newest and most technologically advanced Prototype race car takes to the track for the first time in 2023\, featuring a common hybrid powertrain for all entries that takes kinetic energy gained in braking and stores it in batteries for later use when needed. Four global automotive manufacturers – Acura\, BMW\, Cadillac and Porsche – are entered in the class. Each manufacturer developed its own unique internal combustion engine and bodywork styling to take on this cutting-edge challenge. \n \n\nLe Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2)\nThe Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) is a closed-cockpit car developed by four approved constructors. In addition to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship\, LMP2 cars are eligible to compete in other global series such as the FIA World Endurance Championship\, which includes the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.\n \n\nGT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO)\nGTD PRO\, which debuted in 2022\, include race cars built to FIA GT3 technical regulations and offers the opportunity for factory teams and driver lineups to compete in the class. Manufacturers competing in this class in 2023 include Aston Martin\, Chevrolet\, Ferrari\, Lamborghini\, Lexus\, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.\n \n\nGT Daytona (GTD)\nThe GT Daytona cars are enhanced (not defined by) technology and utilize the global FIA GT3 specification. The GTD class consists of cars from leading manufacturers such as Acura\, Aston Martin\, BMW\, Ferrari\, Lamborghini\, Lexus\, McLaren\, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche. \n \n.\nAbout the Circuit (Sebring International Raceway).\nSebring International Raceway is home to the legendary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as well as year-round on-track activities including car clubs\, performance driving schools\, manufacturer testing and international races. Sebring is one of the country’s most active racing facilities attracting more than 175 individual events on nearly 300 days a year. It is estimated that more than 300\,000 fans\, drivers\, engineers\, crew members and racing families attend events annually at Sebring International Raceway.\n.\n\n\n\n. \n\n.\nEvent Starts: 8:00am EST\nEvent Finish: 11:00pm EST\n.\nFees:\nMembers: FREE (Included in membership)\nNon-Member: Single Day Pass: $30 CAD (allows full access to the event and duration for the day)

SUMMARY:WATCH PARTY - Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Gran Prix 2024
DESCRIPTION: Join us for an afternoon packed with adrenaline with F1 Saudi Arabian Gran Prix 2024.\n.\nAbout Formula 1.\nFormula 1® racing began in 1950 and is the world’s most prestigious motor racing competition\, as well as the world’s most popular annual sporting series: The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ runs from March to December and spans 21 races in 21 countries across four continents.\n.\nAbout Saudi Arabian Gran Prix.\nThe Saudi Arabian Grand Prix promises a sun-soaked festival of Formula 1\, located on an idyllic stretch of the Kingdom’s coastline. The on-track action is stunning\, as the drivers get to grips with this rapid street track\, while Jeddah itself comes alive as the city revels in hosting the F1 circus.\n.\nAbout the Circuit.\nThe Jeddah Corniche Circuit is\, you won’t be surprised to hear\, a temporary street circuit (albeit adorned with some permanent sections)\, located on the Corniche – a 30km coastal resort area of the ancient Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. Designed by the Tilke company\, in conjunction with Formula 1’s own Motorsports team – who used Google Earth for their initial investigations into potential layouts – F1’s Ross Brawn said of the track: “What we want to see is a race circuit. We don’t want Mickey Mouse circuits. We don’t want those old classic street circuits with 90 degree turns. We want fast sweeping circuits\, circuits which are going to challenge the drivers – and they are going to love it.”\n.\nWhat’s the circuit like?\nFast. Very fast. Average speeds around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit are around 250km/h – quicker than those at Silverstone\, and second on the 2021 calendar only to Monza – aka ‘The Temple of Speed’. It is\, quite simply\, the fastest street circuit ever seen in Formula 1 – while the track also features the most corners on the calendar with 27\, many of them quick\, sinuous bends as the drivers wend their way along the Jeddah waterfront.\n.\n\n\n\n.\nEvent Starts: 10:30am EST\nEvent Finish: 4:30pm EST\n.\nFees:\nMembers: FREE (Included in membership)\nNon-Member: Single Day Pass: $30 CAD (allows full access to the event and duration for the day)
